About Biobot Analytics
Biobot Analytics tests wastewater to track respiratory illness, infectious disease and substance use in communities. The data often shows a trend weeks before it appears in clinical reporting.
Pharma marketing and vaccine teams use it to see where illness is rising. Hospitals and public health agencies use it to get ahead of outbreaks.
What we set out to do
- Start conversations with the right people inside 13 priority pharma companies
- Have that outreach come from Biobot's own leaders
- Build a Salesforce setup to track every account and deal
The buyers sit in different teams, from vaccines and real-world evidence to clinical trials and marketing, and each team cares about the data for a different reason.
How we planned the outreach
We matched each Biobot sender to the buyers they would naturally talk to.
- The co-founder and president wrote to senior leaders
- The head of epidemiology wrote to epidemiology, data science and vaccine teams
- The head of sales development wrote to marketing and commercial teams
Connection requests went out blank, which got more accepts from pharma than a pitch did. The first message only went out once someone accepted.
LinkedIn results by segment, December 2025 to November 2026.
December 2025
LinkedIn went live to 13 pharma accounts from three Biobot senders.
February 2026
After the pilot review we kept going and started building conference plays for World Vaccine Congress and RX Summit.
October 2026
IDWeek email went out from three Biobot leaders, while hospital outreach ran at the same time.
The head of epidemiology had the highest accept rate of any sender. An epidemiologist writing to epidemiologists got 99 of 267 requests accepted.
The IDWeek email
For IDWeek we built a list of 2,230 attendees from public sources and found 1,566 verified emails.
Three Biobot leaders who were going to the show emailed attendees in the two weeks before it. The email was two sentences with one ask: say hello in person.
Why it worked
- It came from people who would actually be at the show
- It asked for something small and easy to say yes to
- The head of epidemiology's version got replies from 13.7% of the people it reached
{{firstName}} -- we'll be at IDWeek this week and would love to say hello if you're around and have a minute. Or happy to come find you.
