About MyAbode
MyAbode runs the back office for real estate brokerages in Ontario. Their team processes every deal from listing to commission payout and keeps the brokerage ready for RECO and FINTRAC audits.
Brokerages pay MyAbode per closed deal instead of paying admin salaries, so the cost goes up and down with their business.
The buyer is the broker of record. Every brokerage in Ontario has one, and that person is legally responsible for compliance.
What MyAbode needed
- A steady flow of conversations with brokers of record across Ontario
- A HubSpot that shows which of those conversations turned into deals
Ontario brokerages range from two agents to several hundred, and the owner of a small office worries about different things than the owner of a large one. That fact shaped the whole plan.
How we planned the campaigns
We started by sorting every Ontario brokerage by agent count into four sizes.
- Franchise offices got their own lists, split by brand
- Contacts already in HubSpot who had never been emailed got a list of their own
Then we wrote seven campaigns. Each one had its own angle and its own offer, and each went to the brokerage sizes most likely to care about it.
Highlighted sizes are the brokerages each campaign went to. Results run March to August 2026.
March
We launched the first six campaigns at the same time, each going to the brokerage sizes it was written for.
April
Three weeks in we compared results by size. Compliance won with small and growth brokerages, cost per deal won with mid and large, and seasonal payroll came last.
May
We took cost per deal to smaller brokerages as campaign 7, with a calculator as the offer.
Campaign 7 brought in 20 opportunities, more than any other campaign, after we moved the cost-per-deal angle down to smaller brokerages.
The compliance email
After the Government of Ontario took over RECO, audits started picking up and brokers of record were paying attention.
The email named that change in its first line, offered a one-pager on what auditors look for, and asked one easy question.
Why it worked
- It opened on news the broker already knew about
- It offered something useful before asking for a meeting
- It went to small and growth brokerages, where the broker of record handles compliance personally
Hey {{firstName}},
As I'm sure you're aware, compliance has been all over the news for {{franchiseBrand}} brokerages lately. Since the Government of Ontario took over RECO, audits have been ramping up, and most of the brokerages getting flagged aren't doing anything wrong on purpose -- they just didn't know what they didn't know.
We put together a one-pager on what RECO auditors are actually looking for right now. Can I send it over?

Campaign results, March to June
This is the campaign dashboard from the first three months. Each row is one of the campaigns above.

- 17.03% reply rate on 5,600 emails
- 258 opportunities worth $580K
- 3Campaign 4, compliance, with 14.9% replying
Over the full eight months the campaigns sent 9,523 emails, got 200 replies and produced 76 opportunities.
How we counted deals
- We merged 240 duplicate companies in HubSpot and gave 92 deals the company they were missing
- Every consultation a broker books now creates a deal automatically
- A daily dashboard matches each deal to the campaign and brokerage size that reached it
That is how we count 106 deals at brokerages our campaigns reached, and $828K in pipeline as of September 2026.
